Gliptone is an New York, America, based manufacturer of automotive detailing products that has a small range of products. They focus their attention on quality instead of quantity, something that has helped to give them the reputation for delivering high-quality products.

Gliptone started out in 1947 and have been growing, especially in the recent years. Although they are most know for their leather care products, the range also includes cleaners, shampoo, dressing and wax.
The products
Although Gliptone also sells wax, shampoos and other products, they are most commonly known for their excelling leather care products. The 2 bottles of leather cleaner and leather conditioner are a very common sight. Unlike some other brands, Gliptone also managed to get the leather scent into their products, with increases the scent given off after cleaning and conditioning leather.
Since a few years, Gliptone sells products for professionals and/or retailers. The professional line is big volume packaging, the retail products are smaller en easier to handle volumes.

Gliptone has its own company website, are active on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube. They are rarely seen on detailing events or meetings by themselves, but re-sellers of the brand can be a common sight. They are rarely found on detailing fora, but their reputation causes that many detailers will know the brand and their product. Especially the leather care products.
