How to read MSDS, SDS, WHMIS, PSDS data

Productlabels should (if applicable) show warning signs based on their MSDS data (Also referred to as PSDS, SDS or WHMIS). These logo’s all have different meanings and give you a good visual warning on the dangerous properties.

What is MSDS, SDS, WHMIS, PSDS

MSDS stands for Material Safety Data Sheet. It can also be referred to as the PSDS, SDS or WHMIS. This system is in place to inform the user on any risks that are linked to the materials and/or ingredients that are being used.

What are polymers

A polymers is a molecule (or large molecules) that can be used by manufacturers in order to fine-tune a product, or even to add certain properties to it. Polymers can be natural or synthetic. The synthetic group are also called: silicones.
