What is Solvol

Solvol is a special cleaning product to clean hand. The product has been formulated to clean very dirty hands like those found in automotive shops and other industries. The cleaning liquid is tough on grime but gentle on the skin. Solvol is the brand name for this product, but has become a synonym for hand-cleaning products.

Solvol and hand-cleaning products
In a similar fashion as “Dreft” is the synonym for “dishwashing liquid”, or as “T-cut” is for some people the synonym for “polish”, the brandname “Solvol” has grown into the synonym for hand-cleaning products. Especially the hand-cleaning products that are aimed at very greasy, and dirty hands like those of a mechanic. The upside of this product is that it will remove stubborn grease and dirt without damaging the skin. Solvent, for example, can actually remove essentials oils and phat from the skin itself, leaving the skin irritated and very dry. This problem is prevented by using a proper hand-cleaning product.
