SCANGRIP is a Danish company that specializes in creating working lights that use LED technology. The range of product vary from lights with a certain spectrum, to lights that are aimed at high intensity.
SCANGRIP history
SCANGRIP was formed by Anders Borring from Denmark whose passion for quality light has driven him to develop lighting solutions for various applications. By creating special light equipment for certain application, the user gets the most out of the light that is available. For a painted it will be important to have a light source at a neutral range of the color spectrum that shows the true color of the paint he is working on. For a mechanic it is needed to have a bright lightsource that distributes the light evenly without causing blinding reflections. Different situations require different lightsources, SCANGRIP has been analyzing the needs of the working man, and putting these needs into specialized equipment.
SCANGRIP was founded in 1906 as a small, local blacksmith and has been manufacturing high quality hand tools for more than 100 years. Within these years it has been responsible for the development of one-hand operated locking pliers, vice jaws, compressors and various small tools. In 2007 SCANGRIP China opened, helping the company to create work lights and various LED-light solutions.
SCANGRIP products
The total range of products from SCANGRIP vary widely from tools, equipment, lighting solutions and smaller mechanical tools and/or devices. Within the world of detailing, the brand is most known for its lighting solutions, such as swirl finders and worklights. The Floodlights, Handlamps, Flashlights and pen lights are based on the usage of LED technology that works within an optimum range of the color spectrum. This gives the user a color of light that will show the true color of the paintwork being worked on, with a controlled lightbeam that will help in finding swirls and imperfections.
Company information
SCANGRIP has its own company website and is very lightly active on social media. The brand is very rarely seen on detailing related meetings and/or events, unless represented by a reseller.
