Auto Magic is a Cincinnati, America based manufacturer of detailing products. They sell a variety of products. They are also the first the company who originally created the polymer clay.

Auto Magic’s history
Auto Magic started in the world of detailing over 55 years ago as Auto Wax Company (AWC). As many companies, they started out with a handful of product to cover the basics of detailing and expanded the range over time. They grew into a company that manufacturers and distributes hundreds of professional products with different brandsnames, suchs as: Auto Magic, Body Magic and Clay Magic. Auto Wax Company was purchased in 2006 by Illinois Tools Works Inc., a manufacturing company with more then 90 years of experience. Auto Wax Company changed its name into Auto Magic in 2014, referring to its best known brand.
Auto Magic’s products
Auto Magic currently has a wide variety of products, including soaps, cleaners, dressings, compounds, waxes, glazes, polishes, solvents, aerosols, paint, clay, applicators and accessories. They where also among the first to offer bio-degradable and eco-friendly cleaning products, helping to reduce the chemical footprint of their products.
Among professionals, Auto Magic might be best know for their detailing clay.
Auto Magic’s clay
The clay manufactured by Auto Magic is not very famous among weekend warriors and part time detailers. However, they are the inventors of the original polymer detailing clay. 9 out of 10 of the claybars that where sold in the past, where manufactured by Auto Magic. The well known: Clay Magic brand. The patent became free in 2014, opening the window for other manufacturers to create and manufacture their own polymer clay. Bilt Hamber is one of only a few brands who have always had a unique clay due to their clay that uses pure water as a lube.
Several companies today still use Clay Magic as their OEM for their detailing clay.

Auto Magic has its own company website and is not very often seen on detailing events or car care related venues.The company is also not very active on social media or detailing related fora and/or message boards. The Auto Magic brand has several distributors worldwide and is probably most often represented by a reseller, distributor or general retailer.
