Tuf Shine

Tuf Shine is an American company that creates detailing products. They are probably best known for making the only tire sealant in the world. The company was set up by Ron West and Bob Curtis.
Tuf Shine history
Tuf Shine started out as Tuf Coat Inc in 2004. The company was born in Utah, America. Soon after starting to market their product at local car shows, the name was changed to Tuf Shine Inc. Their main product was Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat, which is the first permanent water based tire sealant in the world. Regular dressings get their shine from oils that saturate the top layer of the rubber and make it look more glossy. These oils never last very long and need to be re-applied. The problem with a regular dressing is also that it can trap dirt and (in some cases) can allow dirt to penetrate the rubber deeper then normal.
The Tire Clearcoat product from Tuf Shine is unique in the fact that it forms a flexible layer on top of the surface of the tire. Sealing in the surface of the tire, not allowing dirt to reach the rubber. It is also dry to the touch and not oily in any way. If applied properly, you can wipe the tyre with a white glove without getting any marks on the white glove.

The company has made a few different products, but the main focus has been Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat for a long time. They also offer a specialized tire cleaner to prep and clean the tire, a scrub brush, an applicator sponge, a microfiber towel and a general use sponge.

Tuf Shine has its own company website, is very moderately active on social media and isn’t often seen on detailing events or meetings. The products are most likely to be shown by distributors and/or resellers.
