Duragloss’ history

In 1973, the Bailey brothers, William and Jerry, where unhappy with the detailing product being offered. Being car enthusiasts and chemists gave them the means to start creating their own products. The current products where to difficult to use, left residue, didn’t offer premium durability and a moderate shine. Something the Bailey brothers aimed to solve.

In 1975 these brothers founded the Brothers Research Corporation, 2 years after starting their quest for better products. These 2 years yielded approximately 100 trial formulations before all the imperfections in detailing products where overcome. The finished product was easy to use, easy to remove, created a nice gloss and laster up to a year. The response was so overwhelming that Brothers Research started to market this product “Duragloss”.

The current product line consists out of 54 products for the automotive, marine and heavy duty markets.
The Brother Research Corporation includes “Duragloss” and “The wet look”.
