Soft99 is a Japanese manufacturer of cleaning products. Although they are most famous for their Soft99 Fusso Hybrid Wax, they also make several other products. Soft99 is the only brand that is based in Japan and has such a large customer base in Europe.

The products
Soft99 is a manufacturer of several type of products, not just wax. They also manufacture and sell dressing, shampoo, wax, sealants, glass coatings, air fresheners, paint and degreasers. However, Fusso is the only product that has turned into a hype. Soft99 doesn’t only make and sell products for the detailing community, they also manufacture household cleaning products.
The company
Soft99 started out around 1950 with just a handful of products and a lot of ambition. In the following years the brand grow hard and steady and with determination. They started out with the NEO range which offered a wax, polish and a shampoo.
Soft99 Fusso
Fusso is one of the most popular products made by Soft99. The Fluorine Polymer enhanced hybrid wax gives a protective layer that can last up to 12 months with regular maintenance. and has shown to create beads that are more likely to see with a sealant then with a wax. Although the products is marketed as a wax it is a hybrid product that contains more sealant properties then that of wax. Fusso turned into a hype in the late 2014 but really captured the attention of most detailers in 2015 and 2016.

Soft99 is based in Osaka, Japan and is operated by Hideaki Tanaka. They company has their own company website. Soft99 is not very active on detailing fora, but they do have a Facebook page and a Youtube channel. More social media channels aren’t being used at the time. However, one of the many distributors or re-sellers might be active on car meetings, detailing events or other public gatherings with detailing-minded people.
